The Political in the Theatrical Work "Goodbye Ayacucho" by the Yuyachkani Group and Its Relationship with the Period of Political Violence 1980-2000
Theater arises from a dialogue with social events. In this way, the theater group Yuyachkani was prompted to incorporate political elements into its works, as a response to the period of political violence that Peru experienced between 1980 and 2000. The theatrical work "Adiós Ayacucho" reflects this incorporation of the political, since it centers on the internal conflict that ravaged the country for 20 years. The objective of this thesis is to understand how those political elements are presented in "Adiós Ayacucho," as well as to identify the elements of the social reality of that period to which the work refers, and to identify the social events that prompted Yuyachkani to create political spaces through its works.
