Regional Plan for Forensic Anthropological Investigations in Ayacucho. Research Strategies and General Guidelines
This publication develops a proposal of essential guidelines for a Regional Plan for Anthropological-Forensic Investigations in Ayacucho. In formulating it, the publication has carried out an exhaustive evaluation of the anthropological-forensic investigation conducted in the country since the Comisión de la Verdad y Reconciliación (CVR) laid its foundations in the early years of the past decade up to the present. The evaluation encompasses efforts made by both the competent state institutions — primarily the Ministerio Público and the Instituto de Medicina Legal — and civil society organizations. As will be seen, obtaining the information needed for the study was an arduous task that could not always be resolved satisfactorily.
