"Memoria. Revista sobre cultura, democracia y derechos humanos" is an academic publication that seeks to contribute reflections to the necessary and urgent public debate in a country marked by two apparently contradictory realities: a situation of emerging economic and financial development, in contrast with a post-conflict society characterized by fragile and exclusionary institutions, both with implications for the social, cultural, and political life of the nation. This first issue features legal and political analyses of the sentence imposed by the Supreme Anti-Terrorist Chamber in October 2006 on Abimael Guzmán Reynoso, the leader of Sendero Luminoso. It also includes other articles and essays.
