National Human Rights Plan of Peru

The citizen movement Para que no se Repita (PQNSR) contributes with this publication to the dissemination of the Peruvian State's Plan Nacional de Derechos Humanos (PNDH) 2006-2010, which was delivered to the country on December 10, 2005, and whose compliance the current government reaffirmed before the United Nations, in the Universal Periodic Review on Human Rights, in Geneva, May 2008. The PNDH integrates the Recommendations of several nationally important Commissions (such as the Plan Integral de Reparaciones - PIR) and addresses civil and political rights, as well as economic, social, cultural, and environmental rights; proposing and designing public policies for the benefit of people in the most vulnerable situations, seeking to eradicate discrimination and exclusion, and affirming equal opportunities for men and women.
