Amador García and Jorge Sedano receive food from a peasant woman

Amador García (on the left) and Jorge Sedano receive food from a peasant woman on the road to Huaychao, hours before dying, along with six other journalists, in the community of Uchuraccay. On January 26, 1983, the eight press members were killed by peasants of that community along with guide Juan Argumedo García and Severino Morales Ccente, a community member from Uchuraccay. The group of reporters had traveled to the highlands of Huanta from the city of Ayacucho to verify the execution of seven alleged Senderistas carried out by peasants from Huaychao and Macabamba.
