Meeting of eight journalists with a peasant from Uchuraccay

Encounter of eight journalists with a peasant from Uchuraccay (Huanta). In the photo, Sánchez (left), Gavilano (white scarf), García (jacket with white stripes), and Sedano (light blue jacket) can be seen. On January 26, 1983, a group of peasants from Uchuraccay killed, in that Ayacuchan community, journalists Eduardo de la Piniella, Pedro Sánchez, and Félix Gavilán from El Diario de Marka; Jorge Luis Mendívil and Willy Retto from El Observador; Jorge Sedano from La República; Amador García from the magazine Oiga; and Octavio Infante from the newspaper Noticias de Ayacucho. Along with the journalists, guide Juan Argumedo García and Severino Morales Ccente, a local community member from Uchuraccay, were also killed.
