Funeral of Rodrigo Franco, executive president of the Empresa Nacional de Comercialización de Insumos (ENCI) and Aprista leader, who was assassinated on August 29, 1987 in front of his wife and children. At the time of the murder, it was believed the perpetrators had been members of a paramilitary group; however, the Comisión de la Verdad y Reconciliación considers that Franco was more likely killed by Sendero Luminoso.
