Assassination of Rayon's industrial relations manager by the PCP-SL.
On October 1, 1987, the PCP-SL assassinated Nelson Pozo, industrial relations manager of the Rayón company. This was one of the first assassinations of company officials as part of the Shining Path strategy of attacking those in charge of labor relations with the unions.
