Murders of peasant farmers in Usnuyoc

On April 28, 1986, peasants were murdered in Usnuyoc, La Convención province, as part of a wave of violence that affected the area during the first half of that year.

During the first half of 1986, multiple murders of peasants took place in the province of La Convención. On April 28 there were murders of peasants in Usnuyoc. This event was part of a series of attacks that also included murders in Totora and Vilcabamba on June 22, and of the governor of Huallan and his son on July 7. These events occurred in the context of violence in the Apurimac River valley.
