PCP-SL attack in Lucmahuayco

On November 26, 1984, the PCP-SL clashed with the Civil Guard in Vilcabamba, Cuzco. That same day there was an attack by the PCP-SL and several murders in Lucmahuayco. This event was part of a series of violent actions that the PCP-SL carried out in the Apurimac River Valley area during 1984, the year in which the forces of law and order and the DECAS (Counter-Subversive Civil Defense) gained control of the valley towards the middle of 1985.
