Attack on U.S. embassy in Lima

During September 1984, there was an attack on the U.S. embassy in Lima. The attack was carried out in the context of an escalation of terrorist violence in the Peruvian capital. In addition to the U.S. embassy, U.S. news agencies and a shopping mall were also attacked. This attack was part of a series of violent actions that again affected Lima during that month.
