Execution of three witnesses and denouncers of the Socos massacre by police officers
Two days after the massacre, in retaliation for the denunciations, police officers executed teacher Victoria Cueto Janampa in her home, shooting her in the head. They also kidnapped and executed Vicente Quispe Flores, abandoning his body on the Huaytará bridge. They also murdered Javier Gutiérrez Gamboa, a young man who worked in the detachment and had witnessed the events, simulating a terrorist ambush.
