Civil Guard violently raids CAAAP in Iquitos looking for subversive material
Members of the Civil Guard brutally raided the premises of the Amazonian Center for Anthropology and Practical Application (CAAAP) in Iquitos, following orders from above. The raid took place late at night on July 28, ripping off the doors with the aim of finding subversive material. The bishops of Iquitos and San José del Amazonas rejected the accusations of subversion against the Church-related institution.
