On July 11, there was a terrorist attack against the central offices of Acción Popular, condemned by all the media and sectors of the country. On July 21, the Peruvian capital suffered the most serious power outage in its history. During this wave, the PCP-SL also attacked the Institute of Technical Research of Auquenidos in La Raya (Cuzco) on July 22 and decreed a strike in Ayacucho on July 25 and 26.
