Publication of all testimonials collected by Luis Morales

On February 12, 1983, El Diario de Marka published all the testimonies collected by journalist Luis Morales in Uchuraccay about the massacre of journalists on January 26. These testimonies contradicted the headlines that the same newspaper had been publishing about direct military responsibility.

El Diario de Marka published all of the testimonies collected by Ayacucho journalist Luis Morales in Uchuraccay. These testimonies had been recorded on January 30, 1983, when Morales collected the statements of community members such as Saturnino Ayala, Francisco Ñaupa, Olimpio Gavilán, Julia Aujatoma, Vicente Quispe Figueroa, Teodosio Soto, Alfonso Pérez, Mariano Figerba, Marcia Gálvez, Juanita Gavilán and Pedro Ramos, among others. Previously, on January 31, the newspaper had published only three of these interviews. The full publication on February 12 revealed that the testimonies contradicted the headlines that Diario de Marka itself had been publishing during those days about the direct military responsibility in the massacre.
