Discovery of PCP-SL Documents in Zárate
In November 1987, a civil court judge ordered the eviction of a small apartment in Zárate, Lima, leading to the discovery of ten boxes of documents belonging to Yovanka Pardavé Trujillo, a leader of the PCP-SL. These documents included plans and sketches of attacks against authorities and police. The information was crucial for DIRCOTE, as it allowed them to uncover the structure and operations of Socorro Popular, a clandestine organization within the PCP-SL.
Un juez en el Fuero Civil procedió al descerraje de un pequeño departamento en Zárate tras un juicio de desahucio. El inmueble era ocupado por Yovanka Pardavé Trujillo, dirigente del PCP-SL, y su pareja Tito Valle Travesaño. En el lugar se encontraron diez cajas de cartón conteniendo documentos mecanografiados y manuscritos que incluían planes de la organización y croquis de atentados contra autoridades y policías. Este hallazgo inesperado permitió a la DIRCOTE empezar a rastrear una pista importante para aumentar su conocimiento sobre la estructura del PCP-SL en Lima.
