Public Hearings on Human Rights Violations in Peru
In 2002, a series of public hearings were conducted in various locations across Peru, including Huamanga, Tingo María, and Lima. These hearings were part of the efforts to document and address human rights violations that occurred during the internal conflict in Peru. Testimonies were collected from victims and their families, highlighting the severe impact of violence and the struggle for justice.
La CVR realizó audiencias públicas en diversas localidades para recopilar testimonios sobre violaciones de derechos humanos. Se llevaron a cabo sesiones en Lima, Huanta y otras regiones entre abril y junio de 2002, donde testimoniaron víctimas como Oswaldo Cava Garate, Oswaldo Cava Arangoitia y Víctor Daniel Huaraca Cule. Estas audiencias fueron complementadas con talleres con ronderos y mujeres en zonas como el Valle del río Apurímac, buscando documentar la experiencia de diferentes grupos afectados por el conflicto armado.
