Prison Riot and Police Operation in 1992
On May 11, 1992, a violent confrontation occurred during a police operation in a prison, resulting in multiple casualties. María Pupetela Villegas Regalado, one of the first injured, died from septicemia after being shot multiple times. The incident also led to the deaths of several inmates and a police officer, highlighting the severe nature of the conflict.
El 11 de mayo de 1992, se registraron enfrentamientos entre internos del pabellón 4-B y efectivos policiales en respuesta al ataque contra mujeres internas. Los internos intentaron trasladarse al pabellón 1-A mediante ductos subterráneos, enfrentándose con policías apostados en el lugar.
