Extrajudicial Executions in Pucará
On November 4, 1989, two patrols from the anti-subversive Battalion Inclán of the Peruvian Army entered the district of Pucará in the province of Huancayo. Disguised as members of the subversive group MRTA, they extrajudicially executed eight individuals. This event was investigated by the Commission of Truth and Reconciliation, which identified it as a violation of human rights.
El 4 de noviembre de 1989, un grupo conformado por dos patrullas del Ejército pertenecientes al Batallón anti-subversivo Inclán incursionó en el distrito de Pucará, provincia de Huancayo (Junín), ejecutando extrajudicialmente a ocho personas. La CVR determinó que estos efectivos se hicieron pasar por miembros del grupo subversivo MRTA. Los hechos constituyen violaciones al derecho a la vida, integridad física y libertad de las personas, configurando homicidio calificado, secuestro agravado y desaparición forzada según el derecho interno.
