TPIY Sentencia Celebici
The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) concluded that torture is prohibited under all aspects of customary and international law. This ruling reinforced the notion that the prohibition of torture is a fundamental obligation that admits no exceptions.
El Tribunal Penal Internacional de la ex Yugoslavia (TPIY) emitió la Sentencia Celebici el 15 de septiembre de 2002, en la cual concluyó que la tortura estaba prohibida por todos los ámbitos del derecho consuetudinario e internacional. Esta sentencia establece un precedente importante en el derecho penal internacional respecto a la prohibición absoluta de la tortura.
