Six hikers rape woman twice in San Martin; responsible released after complaint
A woman was sexually harassed by a neighboring PCP-SL member who told her that if she turned herself in to them they would not make problems for her. When she refused, the man vowed revenge. One day, some men came to her house saying they were coming to kill her husband. When the woman indicated that her husband was not there, they told her that they wanted to settle with her and threatened to set her house on fire. They grabbed her, tied her hands, covered her mouth and took her to the platanal where six men raped her. Afterwards, they forced her to prepare chicken broth for them and when she resisted, the six men raped her again. The woman filed a complaint but the forensic doctor said she had nothing. The man responsible was captured but his lawyer advised him to say that they were lovers and he was released.
