Release of innocent people by pardon

State releases 502 innocent people unjustly convicted of terrorism

This was a consequence of the serious errors committed by the system implemented to prosecute the accused, which violated elementary principles of due process. The magnitude of these errors demonstrated the structural flaws of the anti-terrorist legislation enacted during the Fujimori administration.
