Assassination of Villagers in Runatullo
On October 11, 1989, a large group of armed and masked militants from the Shining Path (Sendero Luminoso) entered the village of Runatullo in the Tulumayo region. They assassinated four villagers: Emilio Kamel Llacua, Rigoberto Pariona, Andres Unchupaico, and Antonio Barja, accusing them of opposing the party. This event was part of the broader conflict involving the Shining Path's violent activities in the area.
El 11 de octubre de 1989, un grupo numeroso de militantes del PCP-SL, armados y encapuchados, ingresaron a la comunidad de Runatullo. Asesinaron a Emilio Kamel Llacua, Rigoberto Pariona, Andrés Unchupaico y Antonio Barja. Los pobladores fueron acusados por los senderistas de "oponerse al partido".
