Massacre in Sincos

Massacre in Sincos, Jauja, on October 21, 1992 that left 8 people murdered, possibly UNCP students, in the context of the highest peak of violence in the region.

On October 21, 1992, a massacre occurred in Sincos, Jauja district, in which 8 people were killed. According to the report, the victims could have been students from the National University of Central Peru (UNCP). This event took place in the context of 1992, when violence reached its highest peak in the Junín region. Dynamite attacks, blackouts, sabotage, assassinations, disappearances, extrajudicial executions, arbitrary detentions and guerrilla fights were daily occurrences in that period.
