Court of Chiclayo opens investigation for terrorism against 10 forest defenders from San Ignacio
The Eighth Specialized Criminal Court of Chiclayo opened an investigation against the ten residents of San Ignacio arrested on June 27, accusing them of the crime of terrorism against the State. The opening order stated that they had seized dynamite, explosives, PCP pamphlets and other items. Despite the fact that the accused denied being the perpetrators of the acts, the judge considered that they should be prosecuted according to Decree Law 25475.
