Murder of journalist Pedro Yauri in Huacho

On June 24, 1992, the Colina detachment assassinated journalist Pedro Yauri in Huacho. According to the testimony of a former member of the Colina detachment, Pedro Yauri was interrogated under torture but stood his ground before being executed. The case was reported to the PNP but the police and military authorities refused to investigate the facts immediately, despite the fact that the place where the operation was carried out was located near their headquarters.
