Murders in Ulcumayo annexes

On May 14, 1992, PCP-Sendero Luminoso militants attacked three annexes in the district of Ulcumayo in Junin, as part of a series of terrorist raids against local authorities in the region during that month.

On May 14, 1992, a contingent of the PCP-Sendero Luminoso entered three annexes of the district of Ulcumayo, in the province and department of Junin. This action was part of a series of terrorist incursions that the PCP-SL carried out in May 1992 in various districts of the area, as part of a "caravan of terror" against the local authority system. The attacks took place in the context of a Shining Path strategy of "annihilation" of people considered to be against their cause. This raid was preceded by a similar attack on May 13 in Chupaca (Paucartambo) and followed by another on May 17 in Quiparacra (Huachón).
