Bodies found in Huamanga mine

Murder of engineer Francisco Sollier, university professor, and three relatives in Huamanga, whose bodies were found in a mine shaft on July 4, 1991.

On July 19, 1991, engineer Francisco Sollier, a professor at the University of Ayacucho, together with his wife, son and nephew were murdered in Huamanga. The bodies of the four victims were later found on July 4 in a mine shaft. This crime was part of the context of political violence affecting the Ayacucho region during the internal armed conflict.
