Murder of Brothers Emilio and Rafael Gómez Paquillauri and Félix Rodríguez Pighi

On June 21, 1991, brothers Emilio and Rafael Gómez Paquillauri were murdered along with Félix Rodríguez Pighi. The day after their assassination, their bodies were found in a hospital in Callao. This event occurred during the so-called 'red month of the PCP-SL', a period of intense violence that lasted from May 17 to June 19, 1991. The event took place in a context of escalating violent actions by the Shining Path throughout the country.
