March of PCP-SL sympathizers on Central Highway

Sympathizers of the Communist Party of Peru - Shining Path (PCP-SL) held marches along different stretches of the Central Highway. The demonstration was carried out in protest against the countries that formed the allied block against Iraq in the context of the Gulf War. This action was part of the politically motivated violence registered during the month of January 1991. The event occurred a few days after the GEIN seized important files and videos from the PCP-SL leadership on January 31.
