Assassination of parish priest Teodoro Santos Mejía in Huaripampa
The parish priest of the town of Huaripampa, Jauja, Junin, R.P. Teodoro Santos Mejia, was killed during an attack by Shining Path elements on the police post. Two policemen were killed in the same attack. The priest was a collateral victim of the Shining Path attack against the police.
