Rescue of Raúl Hiraoka Torres
In October 1993, police operations were conducted to rescue businessman Raúl Hiraoka Torres, who was kidnapped by members of the MRTA. During these operations, several 'people's prisons' or 'people's prisons' were discovered in various properties. These makeshift prisons were often small, poorly ventilated spaces used to detain hostages.
