    Victor, a tinsmith, was detained by soldiers in Ayacucho on August 7, 1988, due to a case of mistaken identity. He was tortured for four hours and held for 15 days. During his detention, he was subjected to severe physical abuse and witnessed other detainees being tortured and possibly killed.
