Testimony of Faustina Huamán Junco
On April 15, 2013, Faustina Huamán Junco testified in Quechua (the video includes Spanish subtitles) about her experiences during the years of violence from 1980 to 2000.
She stated that her husband was beaten by unknown individuals, leaving him with severe pain in his back, waist, and head. She struggled to save his life, taking him to health workers, but he died as a result of the beatings. Her son was also mistaken for another person and was killed, accused of being an informant. All of this motivated her to escape with her elderly father from Ayacucho, crossing oroyas to reach Apurímac. Information gathered during the production of the documentary "Nada queda sino nuestra ternura," directed by Sébastien Jallade and produced by Documental Peruano (2017).
