"La hoyada: Sanctuary of memory". Documentary

A video produced by Asociación Pro Derechos Humanos (Aprodeh) in memory of those killed by the Peruvian army in the area known as "La Hoyada," in Ayacucho, whose grounds formed an extension of the Los Cabitos barracks (Ejército del Perú). Testimonies that extrajudicial executions and clandestine burials were carried out there gave rise to the largest search and exhumation effort in Latin America. Faced with the magnitude of what was found, the Familiares de Secuestrados, Detenidos y Desaparecidos del Perú, gathered under the national association ANFASEP, and the Movimiento Ciudadano por los Derechos Humanos de Ayacucho succeeded in having the site declared a Sanctuary.
