Complaint Against Peru Reaches the United States: Forced Sterilization Is an Inhumane Act
Two U.S. non-governmental organizations denounced "the forced sterilization campaign" allegedly taking place in Peru, while also criticizing the U.S. Government's aid to birth control programs in that country. The groups "Population Research Institute" and "Concerned Women for America" held a press conference today in which they stated that "thousands of Peruvian women" are being forcibly sterilized by Peruvian authorities.
