Reflections on Transitional Justice and Reparation for Victims of Forced Disappearance in Peru
As part of the commemoration of the 11th Anniversary of the presentation of the Comisión de la Verdad y Reconciliación (CVR) report and the International Day of the Disappeared — emblematic dates on August 28 and 30 respectively — Grupo 1 de Amnistía Internacional Perú organized the Lecture Series entitled "Reflections on Transitional Justice and Reparation for Victims of Enforced Disappearance." The lectures featured two keynote speakers: Dr. Jo Marie Burt and Dr. Salomón Lerner, former president of the CVR. This article transcribes the most notable points from each lecture.
