Forgiveness and Political Reconciliation: Two Restorative Measures to Confront the Past
In this article the author argues that the moral and political agendas of individuals cannot be understood separately; she analyzes forgiveness and shows the moral feelings involved in the process of granting it; she presents the model of political reconciliation for a transitional democracy and finally indicates how, from a pragmatic point of view, a society entering an inclusive and egalitarian democracy must create restorative remedies or measures to deal with the past.
