Toward the 'Para-Judicialization' of Truth Commissions in the Region?
The Inter-American Court of Human Rights has underscored the role of truth commission reports in Latin America in establishing the facts that constitute the violation of a right, affirming the right to truth as a right belonging to the legal patrimony of individuals and of the society in which they live; another is the use of reports to establish State responsibility and, finally, to prescribe reparations.
