Urgent Need to Strengthen Reparations Policy
Ten years have passed since the delivery to the country of the Final Report of the Comisión de la Verdad y Reconciliación (CVR), a historic document that confronted us with a painful and tragic reality: thousands of families not only lost their loved ones but also had to face the indifference of a society that did not understand the magnitude of what occurred. The grave aftermath left behind has not been addressed in all its dimensions, despite the recommendations and multiple proposals in this important Report.
