Dialogues for Peace and for Memory
As Grupo Memoria, we made the decision to open a space for dialogue with one of the most important actors during the internal armed conflict: the Peruvian Army. While "En honor a la verdad" cannot be considered comparable to the Final Report of the Comisión de la Verdad y Reconciliación, it does constitute an institutional memory and response — that of the Peruvian Army. This publication is the fruit of a great research effort and compilation of testimonies from its members who were in the emergency zones; these are experiences gathered by those who form part of the academic team of the Comisión Permanente de Historia del Ejército del Perú.
