Political Violence: Forms of Community Response in Ayacucho

The subject of this research is political violence, the types of community responses to it, and its effects at the productive and social reorganization level during the period 1989–1990 at the micro-regional level, focusing on 1990. Four communities were studied: one located in the province of Cangallo, another in the province of Huanta, and two in the province of Huamanga. The selection criterion was their ancestral community character and their representativeness in their respective micro-regions.
