The Disappeared in Peru Matter to Us
The Final Report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission reported approximately 69,000 people disappeared in the context of the political violence that took place in the period 1980–2000 in our country. It also established that during the years 1988 to 1993, enforced disappearance was one of the mechanisms of the counter-subversive struggle used systematically by State agents.
