Against the Dream of the Righteous. Peruvian Literature Facing Political Violence
The book reviewed below brings together a set of eight essays on literary works in which the representation of political violence has been central. Added to these is a final essay on the visual artwork 'El juicio sumario' by painter Ángel Valdez, which, in the authors' view, constitutes one of the most important paintings that Peruvian visual art has produced on the subject of violence.
