Perimeter Fencing of the Immobilized Zone of La Hoyada – Los Cabitos Barracks, Ayacucho
After a series of threats to invade the sector known as "La Hoyada," a training ground of the Peruvian Army, Cuartel Los Cabitos BIM 51 in Ayacucho, which had been immobilized by the Public Prosecutor's Office for more than 6 years and where clandestine cemeteries were found, thanks to the persistence of the families of the Asociación Nacional de Familiares de Secuestrados, Detenidos y Desaparecidos del Perú – ANFASEP, the Movimiento Ciudadano por los Derechos Humanos de Ayacucho, and the contribution of the Fundación Herbert Morote, it was possible to erect a barbed wire fence around the entire perimeter of La Hoyada, with the participation of authorities, human rights organizations, and family members of victims.
