Ombudsman's Report No. 84. DISCOVERY OF GRAVES CONTAINING HUMAN REMAINS IN THE DISTRICT OF VINCHOS
This Ombudsman's Report describes the case of a group of 15 peasants who, in June 1984, were detained and killed in a military operation under suspicion of being terrorists. The detainees were taken to a remote open area in the Ayacucho highlands — Yanamachaypampa — where they were forced to dig a pit in which 11 of them would later be buried.
