Ombudsman's Report 003-2002 (Existence of a Mass Grave in Ccarpaccasa, District of Totos, Ayacucho)

During the working visit to the district of Totos on May 16, 2001, to verify press reports about the discovery of a mass grave in the area of Paqpamuqu, information was obtained about the existence of other mass graves in the areas of Sancaypata and Ccarpaccasa, places where in 1983 a group of peasants from different localities in the districts of Chuschi and Totos had been clandestinely buried.
