Giampietri, Justice, the IDL and the El Frontón Case
During the first week of September, IDL fell victim to a very serious act of intimidation: the head of APCI, Agustín Haya de la Torre, was summoned by the Congressional Intelligence Commission, chaired by vice admiral AP (r) Luis Giampietri, currently a congressman and first vice president of the Republic, to report on IDL. The reason? The insults and defamation published and continued to be published against us by a newspaper with the credibility and editorial line of Expreso, due to our public defense of democratic causes. An act of arbitrariness and abuse of power that we have not suffered even in the worst times of Fujimori-Montesinos.
