Us and the Others
The reflection is closer to a confession than a critical analysis. And therefore more difficult and more emotional than rational. It provokes complaints and grievances, self-justifications and regrets, adjectives and insults. A feeling of fear and guilt. What has happened remains present. Its continuing relevance frightens and alarms us. The injustices that fill its pages are still present in the people and institutions that walk the streets alongside us.
