Repairing Without Discriminating Again

Reparations cannot, and must not, be considered as just another social policy instrument; if we confuse reparations with social programs, the connection to human rights violations is lost, along with the reparative essence of the gesture and therefore its central objective. Nevertheless, there is a discernible willingness to use social development programs or anti-poverty programs to implement so-called collective reparations.
